EDINBURGH CASTLE (Edinburgh) - Situated in the heart of this historic city, Edinburgh Castle has been an important part of Scotland's history for centuries. James VI of Scotland (and I of England), son of Mary, Queen of Scots, was born here. Also houses the Scottish crown jewels.
HOLYROOD HOUSE (Edinburgh) - This great house was once a home to Mary, Queen of Scots. Her secretary, David Rizzio, was murdered here.
JOHN KNOX HOUSE (Edinburgh) - Home of the devoted Protestant John Knox.
LAURISTON CASTLE (Edinburgh) - A Scottish tower house built in the 1590's.
LENNOXLOVE HOUSE (Hoddington) - It dates fromthe 14th century.
