England's National Day, celebrated on 23 April, is also believed to have been the birthday of William Shakespeare!

St David's Day is the National Day of Wales and it is celebrated on 1 March.

St Patrick's Day is the National Day of Ireland and it is celebrated on 17 March.

Julia and Proteus are characters in Shakespeare's comedy The Two Gentlemen Of Verona.

Judith and Hamnet Shakespeare were born in the January of 1585. Sadly, Hamnet died in 1596 at the age of eleven. He is buried in Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Juliet and Paris are characters in Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet.

While The Rose was a popular Elizabethan theatre, and Shakespeare may well have acted on its stage early in his career, it is not the theatre most famously associated with him!

There was no theatre of that name in Elizabethan London!

Not only were many of Shakespeare's plays first performed here, but William also owned shares in the theatre!
