The Elizabethans did not have baths very often! They considered baths to be a luxury, or to be taken as a health measure only! By the standard of the day, however, Queen Elizabeth had a lot of baths as she had one every few weeks! The Queen was very particular about personal hygiene and would have no one, or anything, around her that smelt!
