| I grew
up in Bangor, North Wales, a small city with over 2000 years of history.
As a child I visited many of the medieval castles of Wales and for as long
as I can remember have had a love of history. As a teenager I felt a powerful
draw to Tudor history and was privileged to visit many places of Tudor
interest while spending summer holidays with my Aunt and Uncle in Hampshire,
England. In 1997 I graduated from The University of Wales with a
B.A. Honours in History. I then embarked on several years of postgraduate
research in Elizabethan History, finally graduating with an M.Phil in Elizabethan
History from The University of Wales in 2007. I am now engaged in
independent historical research.
My other interests
include creative writing, poetry, theatre, music, travel, astronomy, science-fiction,
and making web-pages. As well as this site (Elizabethi.org) I also run:
Tudors
and Stuarts : A site in progress dedicated to Tudor and Stuart
History.
Herstoriana
: A site in progress dedicated to the achievements of women in history.
Diva
Delights! :
A site dedicated to female singers from Classical to Country Music. |
