30. How do you
know all these things about Queen Elizabeth?
Because I have been
reading about, and studying, the Queen's life and reign for a long time.
A good memory certainly helps in studying history, but most historians
acquire knowledge through hard work and dedication and having a deep love
of the subject. It's much easier to remember details about people and subjects
we are interested in than those we are not.
Of course, that does
not mean I know everything about the Queen's life and reign,
which is why I sometimes cannot answer all your questions and can only
refer you to books that might help you find the answers you are looking
for.
